Privacy and your data
Effective
We store your work to provide editing and keep limited diagnostics to troubleshoot problems. Sharing a session for product improvement is optional each time you send feedback.
Information needed to provide the service
- Account and billing: your email, account identifier, authentication information, purchases, payment references, credit history, and refund or dispute status. Stripe processes card details; Scrambo does not receive your full card number or security code.
- Your work: uploaded media, editing instructions, settings, transcripts, project state, processing status, and generated results needed to perform and save your edits.
- Service diagnostics: account, session, project and job references, action names and sequences, timestamps, outcomes, duration, numeric error codes, and limited technical details such as counts and media dimensions. These records help us troubleshoot failures. Automatic diagnostics exclude prompt text, form values, media contents, file names, credentials, download URLs, and arbitrary error or console text.
- Support and feedback: messages you submit. In-app problem reports also include recent app activity, the current page, relevant job context, and sanitized error details to help investigate your report.
Optional session sharing with feedback
After editing finishes or cannot be completed, your assistant may offer a private feedback link. Opening it does not submit feedback or enable sharing. You write your own message and decide whether to select “Include this editing session for product improvement.” The checkbox starts off for every report, and you can send feedback without selecting it.
If selected, we attach up to 500 recorded actions, outcomes, timings and safe technical details from that session to your feedback for authorized Scrambo team members to review for up to 90 days. The attachment covers retained activity up to the feedback invitation, not future activity. Sessions are grouped by account and connection, ending after 30 minutes of inactivity or 24 hours. This is a diagnostic history, not an exact video replay.
The attachment excludes prompts, assistant conversations and media. It does not authorize AI training. We do not collect editing content for general product research or AI training. We do not sell session attachments or publish them. Avoid including confidential or sensitive material in your feedback message.
Retention and deletion
- Basic diagnostic records: 30 days.
- Optional session attachments: up to 90 days from feedback submission, with a record of the choice and disclosure shown. You can remove all shared session attachments in Your data.
- Previous optional contributions: no new content is collected under previous account-wide choices. Previously retained research and training contributions follow their original maximum periods of 90 and 365 days, respectively, and can be removed through Your data. Previous consent receipts are kept for up to two years.
- Projects, original media, feedback messages, support, and billing: kept separately as needed to provide your saved workspace, resolve support issues, and meet legal or accounting obligations. Contact support to request their deletion.
Removing a shared session attachment does not delete the feedback message, original project, or basic diagnostics still within their 30-day period. Expired attachments are excluded from review and downloads immediately, and cleanup runs at startup and hourly while the service runs. Infrastructure backups may persist under providers’ recovery schedules; any restoration must reapply withdrawals and retention limits before serving data.
Providers and access
Supabase provides account authentication and database services. Stripe processes payments. Hosting and private object-storage providers operate the website and retain project media. The Scrambo processing service and the AI or workflow providers used by a selected editing feature process the information needed to deliver it.
When you connect an assistant, its provider receives the tool results and media you ask Scrambo to return. Its own terms and privacy settings also apply. Access to diagnostic records and feedback is limited to authorized team members and service providers acting on our instructions.
We may disclose information where required by law or to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims. See Stripe’s privacy policy and Supabase’s privacy policy.
Cookies and browser activity
Authentication cookies maintain your signed-in session. For signed-in users, a bounded recent activity history is kept in tab session storage for feedback and cleared on sign-out. Limited diagnostic events are sent to Scrambo in small batches. Additional sanitized support context is submitted when you send in-app feedback. We do not record screens, every keystroke, arbitrary network traffic or full assistant conversations. This collection uses no advertising tracker or screen-recording service.
Your requests and choices
Use Your data to remove shared session attachments and previous optional contributions, or download recent records. Contact hello@scrambo.dev for a full access request, correction, feedback, account or project deletion, or another privacy question. We may verify account ownership. Rights and exceptions depend on your location and applicable law.
Changes to this notice
We publish updates with a revised date. New optional uses require appropriate notice and permission; a previous session-sharing choice does not authorize future sessions or AI training.
